Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee,
Thou changest not, Thy compassion’s, they fail not,
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.
“Thank you Father that you never change even though _______________________.”
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,

Conditions for Answered Prayer

“If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” (Ps 66:18)
I. I must have an Honest relationship to God Jn 15:7; Prov 28:9
“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you can ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you.” (Jn 15:7 NASB)
A. Am I willing to admit things that I have done wrong in the past?
1 Jn 1:7, 9; Ps 66:18; Isa 59:2; Prov 28:13; 1 Jn 1:9
B. Am I currently ignoring any of God’s principles? 1 Jn 3:21-22
C. Do I really want God’s will for my life? 1 Jn 5:14-15
II. I must have a forgiving attitude toward other people Mk 11:24-25; Matt 5:23-24; 1 Jn 4:20; Heb 12:15; Mat 6:12; 1 Pet 3:7
“You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” (Mk 11:24-25)
III. I must be willing to share God’s blessings with others 2 Cor 9:6; Lk 6:38; Prov 21:13; 1 Jn 3:22-23, 17; Jas 4:2-3; Matt 6:11; Ps 37:4
“If one shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.” (Prov 21:13)
IV. I must Pray in faith Jas 1:6-8; Eph 3:20; Matt 21:21-22
“But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” (Jas 1:6-8)
V. I must pray in Jesus’ name Jn 14:13-14; 14:6
“I will do whatever you ask in My name so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name and I will do it.” (Jn 14:13-14)
