DO GOOD Above all else

DO GOOD Above all else 1 Peter 2:11-17

1. Abstain from sinful desires.

1. Sin starts with desire / thoughts.

2. As believers a conflict/war is fought within us.

2. Live honorably.

1. Our good deeds/life proves them wrong.

2. Convicts them of their sin.

3. May draw them to Christ.

3. Accept / submit to human authority

a. The Lord ordained them this is His will.

b. Christ accepted His Fathers will. We are imitating Him.

c. Our actions reflect Christ to others.

4. God's will is for us to right lives/ do good things.

a. This silences the foolish/pagans/unbelievers.

b. Give them nothing to hold against you. No ammo.

5. Because of our freedom.

a. Not to live reckless.

b. Choose to be servants of Christ.

6. Good things.

• a. Respect everyone.

• b. Love the family of believers.

• c. Fear God.

• d. Honor the Emperor, king, leader,authority.
