God’s Kingdom Established

The Kingdom Gospel of Jesus

Genesis 1:26–28; Psalm 8:4–6; Colossians 1:16

INTRODUCTION

You were made by a King.

You were made for His Kingdom.

You were made in His image.

GOD CREATED US WITH PURPOSE (Genesis 1:26–28)

“Let Us make man in Our image,

according to Our likeness; and let them rule…” (Genesis 1:26)

God created everything

He created mankind

You are an intentional creation

Being made in God’s image means:

Relationship – You were made to know God

Reflection – You were made to show His character

Responsibility – You were made to rule over creation

GOD CREATED US FOR HIS KINGDOM (Psalm 8:4–6)

“What is man that You take thought of him… Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty!” Ps 8:4–5

God crowned us with glory

God’s Kingdom was earth, filled with His presence and governed by His love

The Garden of Eden was the first picture of God’s Kingdom

God as King

Humanity as His image-bearers

Creation under His loving rule

JESUS REVEALS OUR ORIGINAL DESIGN (Colossians 1:16)

“All things have been created through Him and for Him.” (Col 1:16)

We were created for Him

Jesus is the perfect image of God (Hebrews 1:3)

To understand who you are, you have to start with whose you are

“CREATED for glory, REBELLED in sin, Restored by the PROMISED King CHRIST, Who lived, died and rose again — BELIEVE, REPENT, Be BAPTIZED, and FOLLOW Jesus in the Kingdom until He RETURNS to make all things new.”
